No icons in version 1.33.0

After upgrading to vaultwarden 1.33.0 the website icons are gone in the firefox (134.0.2) bitwarden extension (version 2024.12.4). If I login to the web vault the icons are still there.

I tried turning the icons off in the extension, refreshing, then back on, refreshing, it didn’t help.

Anyone else observing this?

It’s probably caused by the new Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy that has been added recently. Cf.

Other than the annoyance the of missing icons, I presume staying with 1.33.0 and its security fixes is more secure than downgrading to the previous version.

Wouldn’t know how to workaround in the synology reverse proxy as some are doing in their reverse proxy in that github issue.

A fix is on the way, no need to create a workaround.

This tutorial for synology shows how to do this. Since synology uses nginx behind the scenes, this workaround works. Just make sure the proxy_pass in your workaround matches the proxy_pass used earlier in your server section.
