Vaultwarden is running in docker
Version 1.32.7

Vaultwarden Web
Version 2024.6.2

I am able to make other new members without issues

I made a member under admin panel
i then deleted the member and i tried to make the same member
It then sends the invitation email to the member
When the member clicks on the invitation it sends them to the login page instead of the webpage to add a name and make a password for the member

I then delete the member and try having the user make an account in vault warden and this is the following error

{"log":"[2025-01-22 23:03:22.162][request][INFO] POST /identity/accounts/register\n","stream":"stdout","time":"2025-01-22T23:03:22.162238338Z"}
{"log":"[2025-01-22 23:03:22.162][vaultwarden::api::core::accounts][ERROR] Registration not allowed or user already exists\n","stream":"stdout","time":"2025-01-22T23:03:22.162516524Z"}

Again, i can make new members but i cant recreate an old member

If you invited the user into an org, you need to resend the invite from there.

They need to use the full url including the invite token, else the invite will not be accepted.

Sometimes email providers like smtp servers or mailbox providers might malform links or mails, but that is probably not likely.

I invited the user to the org a long time and it was working perfect, i ended up deleting the user to test something out, and then i recreated the user and sent a link using gmail smtp on vaultwarden, the user received the new link to thier gmail account and clicked on the link… normally a new user would be sent a webpage that request them to put specify their name and make their new password but in this case it only forwards the user to the vaultwarden website with her username prefilled like she was supposed to login,
for some reason vaultwarden remembers the user even though the user is deleted in the admin page

vaultwarden works fine, i already made a few new users and it works as expected… but this 1 user its like vault warden wont forget the user…

If you delete the user from the organization admin page, and not the Vaultwarden Admin Backend, then you didn’t delete the user, but only removed that user from the organization.

The user still had an account and access to the Vaultwarden instance, just not to the org anymore.

You can verify this by going to the Vaultwarden Admin Backend /admin
