I am not sure if this is possible, but it would be nice if the registration via an invitation link could double as verification. My reasoning would be this: I’ve already got the link via my mail address. So why do I have to do this step twice?
As an inviter I have to confirm the registered user afterwards anyway so that the user gets access to an organization and if the user registers a different address with the invitation link the access to the organization won’t be granted. (At least insofar as I have tested it.)
So to me this process seems a bit redundant in a user unfriendly way. But I might just be overlooking something.
