User Level Detection or Is Organization Member - Through Javascript?

I am wishing to control the visible Organization button via JS code on page load / ajax. However I want to be sure that at least the first organization can be created as all users will be a member of it. To do this I would need to be able to detect either if this user is an organization member OR what user level this was. I understand if neither of these are available and so it goes… but if it is, please pass it along.

I’ve noticed that you are pretty experienced here, and you always research so many helpful questions and post them for discussions. I couldn’t stop myself from admiring what you do for the community here.
