Hi im unable to remove a password from an organization.
Do you have the correct rights? Only admins and owners are able to do this.
And users who do not have read-only rights.
im the owner and ist my Password that’s shared. Maybe i don’t see the option to stop sharing it
Ah, you can’t stop sharing it since the organization is the owner now of that cipher.
You can only create a new cipher not part of the organization and remove that cipher from the organization.
okay that’s weird. is that a bug?
No it’s by design.
Nothing we can do about it.
The easiest way to work around this currently is to go to the organization vault and clone the entry back to your personal vault, then delete it from the organization vault. AFAIK this can only be done via the web vault or desktop client (and maybe the CLI, though I haven’t looked into it). I don’t think it can be done in the mobile client, but maybe I’m missing something.
IMO, this is a pretty weird design, and obviously a lot of people have the same complaint, but upstream Bitwarden hasn’t done anything to address it so far.
