Missing: "Grant access to all current and future collections"

I am still running 2023.3.0, while I was trying out 2025.1.1, I discovered that under Organisation, Members, Collections, the option “Grant access to all current and future collections” is not available anymore. Do I overlook something?
This means all collections including subfolders have to be individually selected to become accesible for every user. Also newly added subfolders have to be added to the list every time they are created.

Thanks for any reply.

That is correct. That feature isn’t there anymore.
Use groups to assign users to these groups where the groups allow access to all the needed collections.

Also, subfolders, or nested collections as they are called do not inherit anything from there parent.

So I need a beta feature to handle permissions?
Why not give owners access to everything by default, as expected like Bitwarden docs describe?

@BlackDex is this behavior enforced by the upstream Vaultwarden?
Usabilitywise it is an absolute nightmare. We use dozens of collections and new one get added regularly as we have a collection per customer. Further there is no way to add all Collections in one go to a group and I have to click on every single collection to add it.

Since Vaultwarden needs to follow Bitwarden’s design choices, yes. We can’t deviate too much because we need to keep compatible with the clients.

Also, owners and admins have full access.

OK, I understand. Not good!
Would it at least be possible to have select all option added?

@stfnj @BlackDex there seems to be a work around…
There is Custom Role in the Edit Member interface which allows Managing all collections

That is the manager role which then is allowed to handle all collections.

And no, we can’t add a select all.
