Without relying on docker, currently to use VW we need to install the Web UI part separately, I’d would be great to just use a self-contained vaultwarden directly without extra dependencies.
If you want that, then talk with the package provider which you use.
We build those items separately and merge them into a container.
Vaultwarden it self is just a single binary (with some library dependencies for glibc based builds) and we are not going to build-in the web-vault.
Our main distribution are the containers, anything else is up to the community on how they package this.
