Has anyone studied this client? I’ve just come across it after reading the news about Bitwarden moving its open source repos towards a more proprietary model.
Have your studies raised any security concerns?
Does it work with Vaultwarden?

It works with Vaultwarden as far as i Know. But that client is fully closed-source.
The Bitwarden clients are Fully Open Source. And i think you should catch-up on the news. As Bitwarden have made changes to properly have the licenses mentioned and how it works.
So, the Bitwarden clients are still fully Open Source, and they are being kept that way too as far as i understand.
Also, all Bitwarden Client code needed to work with either Bitwarden (Non-Enterprise) and Vaultwarden is Open Source and visible on the repo’s of Bitwarden.
EDIT:
Sorry, it looks like that apps is OpenSourced now, it wasn’t available for a long time, and i have actually never checked again hehe.
It has some restrictions as far as i know, but if it works, it works.
Readme says “The source code is available for personal use only.” And the LICENSE file says “All rights reserved”, so I would not call it open source just source-available. Cf.
Indeed, you are right. It’s Source Available.
But still, you are able to see what it should do.
Thanks @BlackDex and @stefan0xC
That’s great that Bitwarden are correcting back to an open source model - I must be a few steps behind the news.
Also great that this alternative exists, seems to work with Vaultwarden and is open source (though not libre licenced). I’ll check sure before using just to make sure there isn’t anything malicious in there.
