# Hosted vaultwarden

I notice there is a website appearing at the top of Bing/DDG searches for ‘Vaultwarden’ providing a hosted Vaultwarden instance. I understand it is not affiliated with the Github project for Vaultwarden: [GitHub - dani-garcia/vaultwarden: Unofficial Bitwarden compatible server written in Rust, formerly known as bitwarden\_rs](https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden)

I think it would be good to add a statement at the top of the Github project README to make it clear there is no affiliation with any hosted Vaultwarden service.

That is unfortunately not something we can control.

Also, adding something like that might be a good idea, it will not been seen by people going to that site directly.  
We also have a notice regarding not being affiliated to Bitwarden, and some people don’t even see or read that either.
